Hi! My name is Jhanae Ottey and I am currently a college student at Syracuse University majoring in Political Science and double minoring in Real Estate and Philosophy. I first started crocheting in 2022 when I was gifted a crocheting kit for my birthday. Within moments of crocheting my first bikini, I instantly fell in love with the art of transforming balls of yarn into one-of-a-kind crochet pieces.
Where it all started
This bikini is my first love. It wasn't perfect but it was mine and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. Ever since I made this bikini, I hit the ground running and ventured onto making other pieces such as boleros, hats, scrunchies and so much more!
Why FYT?
My vision and ultimate goal when starting FYT was to share my craft with the world in a meaningful way. After all it is named Forever Yours Truly because every piece I make is special, unique, and made just for you by me. FYT is rooted in making and selling custom pieces for my loved ones. It was their love for my pieces that helped FYT blossom into what it is today. All profits are directed into funding my college education. After all, FYT is ultimately a stepping stool to my dream career of becoming a real estate lawyer and changing the world around me to make it a better place.
